Malahat quote was incomplete

An incomplete quote appeared in “Malahat solution will take more than buses,” a Dec. 1 commentary by Larry Stevenson, the CEO of the Island Corridor Foundation.

Transportation planner Todd Litman of Victoria said in a recent oped in the Globe and Mail that “a rail line or bus lane that offers fast and convenient transit service will attract some commuters out of their cars, reducing highway congestion.”

The Dec. 1 commentary by Stevenson omitted the references to bus lanes and reductions in highway congestion.
